According to reports, the cruise ship operated by the Church of Scientology known as the MV Freewinds, is infested with asbestos cancer.

The ship, which operated under the name ‘Majestic Cruise Lines’, was used to train and teach members of the church.

Asbestos Fibers Discovered on Ship

Health officials believe that throughout its years of operation, thousands of people had been passengers on the ship before the asbestos was found.

After work crews discovered the asbestos, the ship was sealed and quarantined.

Earlier this week the ship’s captain reportedly made a public announcement that asbestos was found in the ship’s ventilation system.

Public Warned of Asbestos Cancer Risks

The Executive Council recently met and agreed that they would inform the public about the findings.

They are now encouraging all those who have been aboard the ship to immediately see their health care physician so they can assess their level of exposure.
