International Mesothelioma Cancer Centers

Some countries have been hit as hard or harder by asbestos than the United States, due to safety regulations that were even less adequate than those in America. Consequently, there are cancer centers all over the world dealing with the illnesses caused by asbestos poisoning, including mesothelioma and lung cancers due to asbestos exposure. Some of these centers treat patients, while others do research into potential treatments and cures for asbestos-related diseases.

Treatments and Medical Techniques

International cancer and mesothelioma centers may offer treatments and medical techniques that are not available in the U.S. Many countries have their own counterpart to the U.S. FDA (Food and Drug Administration) and often an equivalent of the CDC (Centers for Disease Control and Prevention), and these government agencies regulate the available treatments for mesothelioma and other types of cancer. There are also many international cancer registries that track the numbers of asbestos-caused conditions.
