El mesotelioma peritoneal es una forma de mesotelioma que afecte al peritoneo (la membrana que rodea la cavidad abdominal), dando por resultado tumores en el estomago y los organos abdominales. Este cancer puede extenderse hasta implicar los intestinos y causar una obstruccion. Los sintomas incluyen ascitis (la acumulacion de liquido en el abdomen), dolor, una masa en el abdomen, la perdida de apetito, la anemia, la fiebre, vomito, y anormalidades en la coagulacion de sangre.

Mesotelioma Pericardial

El tercer y mas raro tipo de esta enfermedad es el mesotelioma pericardial. El mesotelioma pericardial afecta el tejido y la cavidad que rodean el corazon. Los sintomas pueden incluir dolor de pecho, respiracion cortada, tos excesiva, y palpitaciones (latidos del corazon anormalmente rapidos y fuertes).
